We're thrilled to have JAG Corps attorneys from all five branches of the armed forces -- Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy -- speak at the Law School this Monday, September 19th at 11:30 a.m. in WB128. And yes, PIZZA will be provided. (Please RSVP by Friday, 9/16 at 5 p.m. so we can place orders.)
JAG stands for Judge Advocate General. JAG attorneys do everything non-military lawyers do, plus work that specializes in military law. They litigate in court and in military tribunals. They advise, counsel and handle many kinds of transactions. Each branch handles summer internships and new attorney hiring differently -- and on different deadlines -- so hearing from the JAG attorneys on Monday will be a great way for you to compare and contrast and get your deadlines straight.
If you're a 3L, check out our JAG deadline calendar on the PSC website (Employment Resources/Key Internship, Fellowship and Job Deadlines for 2Ls and 3Ls).
This panel will be useful for 1Ls interested in learning more about JAG generally, plus 2Ls and 3Ls who want to get details about internships, jobs, and deadlines. Hope to see you there!
