Summer 2009 Internship Session & DOJ Practice Area Chart

Mukasey In advance of the upcoming presentation on U.S. Department of Justice Summer 2009 Internships this Friday, interested students should consult the Department's Practice Area Chart (pdf). The chart will help students explore the various components of the Department and find those components that best match your interest areas and expertise. As the nation's largest legal employer, the Department of Justice (DOJ) offers approximately 1,800 volunteer internships in virtually EVERY legal practice area.

On Friday, Jessica Ginsburg ('87) of the DOJ will be on hand to provide an overview of the various departments, the application process, and the DOJ's background checks.  This is a brown bag discussion so please feel free to bring your lunch with you.

Consulting the practice area chart beforehand will help students narrow questions and ensure that we make the most of Ms. Ginsburg's limited time on grounds.
